Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) speaks of the existence of an energy or vital force called Qi and an energy system through which it flows and which is called "meridians". This system of meridians does not correspond to any known organ system, describing 12 main meridians, 8 extraordinary ones, as well as other channels, all of them interconnected. Along with the meridians, there are more than 1000 acupuncture points where you can access the regulation of Qi. Thus, the purpose of acupuncture is the regulation of Qi, locally and generally, for the different pathologies that arise. These are some of the effects that we can find:

Non-analgesic effects of acupuncture
local effects

Afferent nerve stimulation, vasodilation, blood vessel proliferation, nerve growth.

Pain modulation, autonomic modulation
